Use the Web Portal — NOT the Mobile App
Symplast is primarily designed as a mobile app, but data exports are only available in the web portal. Open Chrome or Safari on a desktop computer and navigate to portal.symplast.com. Log in with your admin credentials. The web portal has a simplified interface compared to the mobile app.
Do NOT use the Symplast mobile app for this export — the app does not have a CSV export feature. You must use portal.symplast.com in a desktop browser.
If you have never used the Symplast web portal before, use the same login credentials as your mobile app.
Navigate to the Reports Section
After logging into the web portal, look for a "Reports" link in the main navigation. In Symplast's web portal, the navigation may appear as a hamburger menu (three horizontal lines) in the top-left corner. Click it to expand the menu, then click "Reports".
Select "Patient Reports" → "Patient List"
In the Reports section, click "Patient Reports" in the left sidebar or report category list. Then click "Patient List" or "Patient Summary". This is the report that contains demographic and contact information for all patients.
Configure Filters — Status and Date Range
The Patient List report opens with a filter panel. Set the filters as follows: Patient Status = "All" (to include both active and inactive), Date Range = "All Time" (or leave blank), Provider = "All". Make sure demographic fields (name, phone, email) and visit fields (last visit, visit count) are selected in the column picker.
Generate and Export CSV
Click "Generate Report" or "Run". After the report loads (may take 30–60 seconds for large practices), look for an "Export" button in the report toolbar. Click "Export" → "CSV". The file will download to your Downloads folder.
If the export option is grayed out, your account may need export permissions enabled. Contact Symplast support or check Settings → User Permissions.
Send to MedMasters Securely
Upload the CSV file using the secure link provided by your MedMasters account manager. Do not email the file directly.
Patient data must be transmitted securely. Do not use email. Use only the MedMasters secure upload link.
